Joshua Moratto

 

Joshua Moratto is a designer living in Los Angeles. He is currently working on completing a private residence in the hills of Malibu and a 40,000 sf tenant improvement for a tech company in El Segundo.

Previously, Moratto worked at the architectural offices of Yazdani Studio, PATTERNS, Emergent/Tom Wiscombe Design, and Coop Himmelb(l)au. These offices provided him the opportunity to collaborate in the design of federal courthouses, sports arenas, private residences, international competitions and exhibition design at museums. Moratto also gained experience in production design while working at Optimist Design with clients such as Nike, Google and Daft Punk.

Moratto has a Bachelors of Architecture from Oklahoma State University (2006) and obtained his Masters of Architecture from the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI_Arc) in 2010 where he was awarded best thesis. He was awarded best in category in the 2010 KRob architectural delineation competition for student digital/ mixed drawings and has shown in galleries such as Jai n Jai Gallery and the Los Angeles Center for Digital Art.
